"Well, he was trying to keep me out of my own home and away from you," Shiva pointed out. "But I did make it up to him." He leaned forward and took a bite of the sandwich as she held it out to him, eyes twinkling. He knew she hated when he did that, but he did it anyway.
"It wasn't me; I don't know who it was, but it does not bode well for this world. The ripples from that spread out and touch many; soon the city will be overflowing with those that have been touched." He took the sandwich and put it down, then gently used his thumb to clean the corner of her mouth and then he sucked it clean. "How has it affected you?" he asked quietly, reaching out to stroke her hair.
