It was only once Loki gestured to the room around him that Ed took his eyes off of the nearly-grotesque show of the man's healing to notice anything besides him. The room was a bit plain for his tastes, but he supposed it was just a room. There wasn't the thumping music in his chest, or the flashing lights that had started all of this. The pounding had just been his own heartbeat, the noise in his own ears, and now that he could take a moment to breathe it all started to slowly subside.
The way Loki's flesh grew and healed, in front of him still had Ed on edge, but he'd seen genuine magic in this place already. Knew there were beings who could do things that were only superstition and stories where he came from. He still couldn't be sure this man wasn't a demon or something with similar motive, but the absence of everything else that had overwhelmed his senses made it easier to just hold a wary distance, rather than offensive position.
"Wait, how are you dead?" he asked, unthinking. The curiosity spilling out before he could consider much else that had been said.
