Kat had sulked for a full six hours before she said screw this and baked. Her house smelled of chocolate chip cookies and banana bread. The smell wafted out as the door was pulled open. "Mum, Alfie's here, just sayin!" she called back over her shoulder before looking to him. "Hi!" she beamed. "You can help me eat the pile of cookies I just baked. Right?" she smiled.
Then after a pause she ensnared him in a hug. A true Kat hug that was all love and hyper and not much else. That was Kat the big hug-bug. "I'm glad you came." she said quietly, avoiding thinking about Geoff's antics. Instead she had her friend Alfie and that was more than enough for her. "I don't remember, have you been here before?" she asked, head tilting a bit.
