Demelza shook her head. "Oh no. I don't mind. I agree this sort of chat should be done more in private anyways." She tried to redeem her slightly snippy comment from on the way over to the booth. Her eyes scanned the area to make sure that everyone else was decently far away enough so as to not overhear their conversation.
The blonde sighed and slid onto the same side of the booth as Dean, once again out of habit. She almost immediately regretted doing so. He was so close and all she wanted to do was simply lean over and kiss him. She didn't see that going over too well though. It didn't matter if he had broken her heart for no apparent reason a little over a month ago. She missed his soft kisses and the strength of his embrace and their late night chats in the common room about nothing in particular.
"I don't really know where to begin." Demelza said softly and finished up the last few sips of her butterbeer. Actually, I do. Apologize and ask me out so we can be like normal again. She thought inside her mind, but no matter how much Gryffindor bravery she had, she could not will herself to say it aloud.
