As the comment rolled out of Demelza's mouth, Dean couldn't help but grin. He knew that she was joking, even with the clear wink in his direction. Their relationship had not only been amazing as it took it's course, but it was a bit physical just as much as any adolescent union was as a whole. Some of those times, he even had his shirt off to enhance the moment too. He admired the blonde's body as well numerous times, which was still something that Dean did when she was still around him. So, there was not way that he would take that comment seriously. "Don't him hear that. I don't think his ego would be able to take it," he answered back in a joking manner.
Dean watched as his statement had made her choke slightly on her butterbeer, just as he cleared his throat. It wasn't something that he planned on saying at that precise moment. She obviously wasn't expecting it either, but there was no way that he could retract the words. Not to mention, that he knew that Demelza knew what he meant with his words without any questions. After all, their relationship did last long enough to get the hidden meanings of the smallest sentences. "Yeah, I was a great distraction during then too," he responded and closed his eyes slowly. It really was one of those moments that Seamus would have kicked him in the behind for loosing a bit of cool, attempting to grasp a hold of his calm factor once again.
All Dean had to hope was that he didn't seem rude for grabbing their drinks and heading off to a booth without a word. It was a way to start calming himself down without her viewing his face for a few seconds. "Sorry," he stated simply, placing down the glasses on the table and turned his attention back to Demelza. It hadn't taken him too much longer to slip into the comfortable seat of the booth, mentally coaching himself into more of an ease.
