Dean had been surprised that Demelza had agreed to hang out with him on that particular day. It wasn't as though their break up had been messy. He had done so in a respectable way, even though he never admitted to the younger Gryffindor on his initial reactions on dating her in the first place. No one seemed to realize it was a chance to prove to himself that he was over Ginny Weasley, but as their relationship had continued on, Dean allowed his feelings for Demelza grow. However, a part of it didn't feel fair to the blonde woman. He didn't want to have any doubts all together or some itching thought that was poking at him in the back of his mind as the summer went on. As much as he hoped that she would understand, she had taken the silent route through things. That was the reason behind feeling surprised that she had agreed to spend some quality time together, despite the fact that he had a feeling at the pit of his stomach that all of that would eventually be placed on the table as their time together continued on.
As the time had quickly arrived to leave to meet up with Demelza, he had taken a breath, before apparating to a safe location. The action was something that he didn't accomplish too much. It was something to get used to all together, despite the fact that he had pasted and received his license. There was no other reason to describe it, but Dean enjoyed the long walks at certain times. Once he had entered the Leaky Cauldron, the tall boy glanced around for the blonde. It hadn't taken him too much longer to spot her directly at the bar, before making his way over in a bit hesitant sort of way. "What's a swell dame like you doing in a joint like this?" he asked with a smile, obviously taking a line from an old muggle movie.
