Gavin grinned when he clicked off his journal, happy to see he wouldn't be spending the night completely alone. When plans fell through it bummed him out, but luckily he had that air about him where he could seemingly draw a new friend out every night if he needed to, and he liked that. Megan was a beautiful woman, and an incredible personality. He couldn't ask for much better in terms of company tonight. He already had the bottle of firewhiskey out, but that was more or less because he'd already poured himself a couple of shots to take the edge off.
Yes, Gavin was a sixth year, and yes Gavin was living on his own. You see, his muggle adoptive father was out of town for a few months in order to tie down a few bands for his record label, and to set up shows, tours, what not; thus, in his absence, Gavin was given money and free run of the place. Gavin had managed to get himself a bottle of Firewhiskey, obviously; however, Charles had been able to provide even more muggle-type liquors in his liquor cabinet, and Gavin had gotten in.
With the combination of liquor and ale, along with a large home to himself, it was easy for Gavin to have the sort of life he saw for himself in three years--now. He already had the front door open a notch, so she'd know to just come in, and was already in the process of putting together a perfect party playlist of muggle and wizard music alike, along with a few compilations of his own stuff. Himself, he was dressed in a slim pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt beneath a black button up and his hair left to go about its own business.
He wasn't going to be too fancy, but he definitely felt nicely dressed for a casual evening, and hoped only that Megan wasn't coming over out of pity for his post on the journals, and really was in the mood for some entertainment.
