The hug, if nothing else, set of Lily's alarm, and she returned the hug with a rather fierce intensity. There was, surprisingly, no guilt or lecture or recriminations coming from Lily for Harry. She was too worried about the shadows in his eyes and the flat tone in his voice.
An undercurrent of her own anger at Dumbledore and the way he was using her son flashed across her expression, but she nodded, determined to keep her temper. She looked from James, who was entirely too calm about seeing their son for the first time in months, narrowing her eyes slightly.
She looked back at Harry. "Tell us what you need us to do to help, Harry. We'll do it."
