Who Philomena Selwyn & Aidan Lynch What An Opening, at an Art Gallery When December 28th, 2011 Where The Serpentine Gallery, London Status Closed/In Progress Rating Low SCENE LOTTERY PROMPT: "Yeah, just look at all the passion on that wall."
Philomena did miss the social scene. Her husband liked to show her off in public and she was more than happy to be shown off--but that wasn't something that could happen now that she was attached to a convicted murderer who'd escaped Azkaban. She loved Antonin--and not just because he'd murdered her husband--he was good to her and he gave her everything that she needed. But she couldn't take him anywhere.
And so when a particular wizard artist that she liked opened his show at the Serpentine Gallery in London, she couldn't exactly take him with her. Antonin didn't mind, of course, he was far more willing to allow her to whatever it was she pleased than her husband was. Already he'd proved that he didn't mind her working at St. Mungo's--and really, considering how much time he was required to stay in her home, given the arrest warrant on his head, it was probably a good thing that she could get out of the house.
A glass of red wine in her hand, she moved from one painting to the next, but she was drinking in the crowd with far more interest than she was her house wine. She loved watching people and she was looking for someone with some attractive quality about them that she could talk to. Art was, on its own, rather boring. It was the company--it was being seen and admired--that she craved.
