Who: Colin Creevey and Jack Sloper What: spending time together? Where: Gryffindor sixth year dorm When: Wednesday afternoon
Jealousy wasn’t something Colin felt often. However, he could recognize it welling in the pit of his stomach as he turned Nicodemus’ paper bird in his hand. He didn’t like that the younger boy was giving Jack a Christmas present, and couldn’t help but wonder if the Ravenclaw thought there was something where there wasn’t. Still, Colin wasn’t going to tell Nico not to speak to Jack, or for Jack to not accept his presents or anything. At the end of the day, he knew where Jack stood on Nico, and trusted him more than everything.
However, had to admit that the little bird, the magic involved with making it sing was a little more impressive than what Colin had given his boyfriend which was little more than a simple leather bracelet. Maybe that meant that the fourth year was smarter than him, or more creative, but Colin tried to push that out of his mind. He was laying on Jack’s bed, which he’d long since decided was more comfortable than his own (so long as you found the right groves), playing with the stupid charmed bird, flicking it in the head to make it sing. Grumbling under his breath, Colin crumbled the bird in a show of typical Gryffindor annoyance, though feeling instantly guilty the moment he did so. He scrambled to his feet the minute he heard the door open, a small frown tugging at his lips when he realized Jack was coming in.
“Uh… it was an accident…?” He said, holding out the broken form of the paper bird.
