Who Oakden and Fleur What After Christmas wind-down (or wind up, as it were) When Boxing Day Where Fleur's home Status Incomplete/Closed Rating ??? Possibly Highish for Language/Themes?
Oakden knew that Bill was out with Percy tonight because Percy'd let it slip that he was seeing his brother for the evening. Hobday decided, then, that this was the perfect night to show up at Fleur's with some wine to talk. He didn't know that Bill had witnessed the kiss between him and Percy when they'd left Delacour's party on Christmas Eve and so that wasn't on his mind at all. What was was the fact that Fleur had very obviously picked up on the fact that there were things that he wanted to tell her but couldn't. He figured that tonight, perhaps, he could...well, if not tell her then at least hint, but his hints were always horribly obvious when he'd been drinking.
"Hel-loo?" Oakden was showing up unannounced and so he hoped that wasn't too much of a problem. Fleur had seemed to pleased on Christmas Eve that Hobday had, for the most part, put out of her mind that she had disappeared or that something bad that she refused to talk about had happened. Hobday had some theories about what had gone on, of course, especially because it had ended in an engagement--but those weren't things he'd ever bring up. Particulatly when it was obvious that she didn't want to talk about them.
He gave a wrap to her flat's door with the back of his knuckles. "Anyone home?"
