Who: Alexander Greengrass III and Catriona Urquhart (and a bit later Astoria Greengrass)
When: Christmas Day
Where: Greengrass Estate
What: Spending Christmas together
Status/Rating: Closed // TBD
When Alexander had invited Catriona over for Christmas, his thoughts were different. He thought that they would spend the holiday together without any other care. If it wasn't for her, Alexander would have lost his mind a long time ago. From his promotion into the lime light to the midnight Death Eater meetings for one reason or another, he had almost forgotten what a real life contained. Astoria had made him feel better these last few days, keeping calm from how he used to be with the youngest Greengrass. It was a more laid back sort of behavior coming from him, mostly because he felt as though he could relax and be comfortable once again, especially with someone that mattered. Catriona was there for him when he needed it, which included the night that he had taken a life in self-defense.
Shaking that thought from his mind, Alexander glanced around as he placed Catriona's gifts upon the table before him. The house had been set up days prior to fit the holiday spirit. A bit too much if one asked his opinion, but none were his doing. The house elves had taken liberty of the decorations. It was something that he had to deal with for the next week or so, since they would be up into the new year. Idlely, Alexander placed a hand over the side of his jacket pocket that had a special gift hiding within it for the blonde female. The thought wasn't on his mind a few days ago. It was an approach that he tried before, which she denied him in a polite sort of way. However, a part of Alexander knew if he was more through in his explanation, maybe everything would work out in both of their favors. The situation was probably not going to end well, but at least, Catriona would know how he felt about her as a whole, instead of bits and pieces.
Just as the knock to the door echoed a bit through the house, he took in a breath before ushering the house elf away to continue with the Christmas dinner. Alexander continued the last couple of steps to the door, and opened it almost immediately, knowing that Catriona was just beyond it. A part of him wondered if she could actually get away from her family for a little while on a day that was meant to be spent with those that one cared about. It was a thought that he wished that Daphne remembered that fact, even though he felt suspicious about the entire vacation in Greece. As the door opened up, he caught a glimpse of her face and allowed a smile to spread across his features. "I was wondering when you would would arrive, love. Happy Christmas," he stated and leaned forward to press a kiss upon her cheek before letting her into the Estate.
