Susan closed her new journal slowly. It still crinkled with the sound of a new binding and it still smelt like fresh paper. The journal was a fascinating book and Susan could not quite figure out what to make of it. It was a great thing and she was quickly learning to ward entries to her friends, and her first ward had worked. Susan felt she could count on the journal to get in contact with people easily, but unfortunately it did mean it opened herself to others conversations. Susan had spent some time chuckling over a few entries she had read, or rolling her eyes are boys and their vulgarity. Over all the journal was a good experience and she sensed it could become a bit addictive just sitting with it open watching words stream by. Despite enjoying the experience she was not feeling up to it at the moment.
Susan lay on her bed staring up at the ceiling and quickly losing herself in her thoughts. She was thinking of her aunt and how much she missed her. She would trade feeling worried about her well being to her aunt being gone for good. It pained Susan to think about it, as the anniversary of her Aunts death quickly approached. Susan did not want to think about it, she could feel the tears starting. Susan brushed the tears away from her cheeks as she rolled over onto her side curling her arms around one of her pillows hugging it to her chest. She heard the sound of the front door open and wondered who it was who had arrived. It was one of the three people if the sound of the door had been for her. The cordial conversation she heard murmuring below definitely made her believe it was one of her friends. Question was it her boyfriend, or one of her best friends. Right now she would welcome them all, hoping to to get her thoughts of her aunt.
Rolling over to her other side so she faced the door she waited for someone to appear at the open doorway. She heard the sound of the feet going up the stairs.
