Rolf smiled a little when Bertie mentioned people's reactions to his research. Scamander was used to getting a few interesting glances when he talked about what he did as well. Although, with him, he was usually met with wide-eyes and horrified expressions. People really didn't seem to understand why it was that he did what he did.
"Yes, I see." He said, still grinning as he turned back to his wine. "But I suppose it is good to visit them at least for a few hours. But there are so many traditions at this time of year that I just so cannot be bothered with at all, hm? But I do like the excuses for indulging."
He tipped his glass in Bertie's direction a little bit, implying that he meant the wine. Christmas was, after all, a time to drink and eat and do all kinds of things in excess that had to be moderated the rest of the year.
