Cho's invitation to tea was completely platonic. She only wanted to talk about her job and knowing the general thoughts that the Weasley family held about blood heritage she figured that discussing her disappointment in the way her job was going would be understood by him.
Because her gift had been in a case, Cho had paid for it as soon as she picked it out. Now she looked around her own hands glancing the fine fabric of a scarf her own mother would have liked. With her family being so far away she had been forced to send gifts early to ensure they arrived on time. Magical transport locally wasn't the same as transporting across great distances so she had taken measures to ensure her family got their gifts. Still, her mother did have a birthday coming and would greatly appreciate the gift. So Cho took it from the rack and went to stand in line behind Charlie.
"I think she'll love it," Cho stated not really certain. She wondered if a woman who, as Charlie put it, was so into knitting would appreciate something but decided against stating such. If she were showing signs of refraining in her speech, he did not catch them as he immediately went on about the upcoming Christmas dinner at his brothers. "Of course I am going. Fleur and I have kept in touch since the Tri-wizard Tournament." She didn't add that the reason was the bond they'd created through Cedric.
