Matty threw her notebook across the room like it was meant to fly, her eyes clasped tightly closed. What a crazy twenty-four hours the day had been and it clearly showed no signs of stopping. Things in her life were changing far too fast and far too soon. Her head was literally swimming with these questions that had no answers and the last owl that she sent to her mother was still unanswered. Her legs were numb from sitting down for so long and they buckled at the knees, but she started to move, grabbing a coat and the special delivery that Gideon had sent to her weeks ago. She was so indescribably indescribable that the only thing she knew was to be with Heidi, her sister from another mister.
After brushing her hair and grabbing a tube of chap stick, Matty was out the door of the Gryffindor Common Room and out toward the greenhouses, her go-to place when she wasn’t with.. Him. Just thinking about Sebastian made her cheeks flush, she was so confused about him right now. As she walked, her thoughts very vividly changed from the day in the Room of Requirement to when she saw Knox at the ball, and then to the day when Gabriel told her that he didn’t want to see her anymore. She was just making one mistake after another lately, it seemed. Her stomach was clenched into a knot and she pulled her wand out, feeling the need to just burn something.
Amazingly, she made it to the greenhouse and opened the door to see Heidi waiting inside. “Ugh,” she exclaimed, tearing off her jumper. “I mean really, Heids. Really.”
