Fleur whimpered softly, shifting to a more comfortable position upon the couch, when she heard a knock at her door. For an evanescent moment she forgot that she was expecting company and work had been more tiring than she thought it would be, which was something because she hadn't actually done much. Bill had handled all the field work and let her sit behind the desk where she was more comfortable. Fleur did miss going out in the field though because it was when she got to spend the most time with Bill at work. It had been hard enough to be at work at all because it had meant going outside the flat, something in which she hadn't done until then. Right now, Fleur just wanted to sleep but there was another knock on the door so she figured she should get up and answer it.
Fleur ran her fingers through her now shorter hair in an attempt to smooth out any tangles from her attempt at a nap and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Surprisingly, she was glad her friend had come. She didn't think she had wanted company but a part of her did and that surprised her. "Hello Nyx." Fleur said lightly as she answered the door and let her friend in. She had been careful in her dress making sure that her clothing covered any lingering bruises on her skin. The hair was harder to conceal but that could be brushed off as just a random change. The only noticeable difference was she was a little unsteady on her feet, which was unusual for someone that was part Veela, but it wasn't too major.
"Do not mind the mess." Fleur told her friend as she glanced around the apartment. The mess consisted of a blanket and pillow on the couch, which was unusual just because both Bill and Fleur were almost obsessively neat. "Thanks for the coffee and such." She told her friend as she flopped back down in her spot on the sofa knowing she could relax a bit with Nyx; that she didn't have to play a proper hostess. "I am still working on getting Bill to give up tea for coffee." It was useless chatter, but Fleur didn't know what else to say. Not many people actually knew the reasons behind her disappearance and no one, Bill included, knew the finer details.
