Who: Kirley Duke and Meghan McCormack What: Siblings catching up. Where: Meggy-May's When: Obnoxiously early on 5 December Warnings/Rating: Low
Kirley had spent the whole night writing. After chatting with Heath over the journals he found he couldn't settle until he'd finished his latest song. Now it was complete; lyrics, melody, the whole shebang. It had seemed like an age since he'd last finished anything. Maybe he needed a little outside turmoil to focus his thought process. Bizarre as that seemed. Then again, he’d never claimed to be normal.
The sound of manic drumming had stopped at around 3am, so Kirley assumed that meant his Boat mate was either asleep or had gone out. A quick peek around Orsino’s door showed it to be the former and Kirley grinned at the lump under the bedclothes which he assumed was the drummer. Wandering through to the galley, he got himself a glass of milk and went out onto deck to have his first smoke of the day. It wasn’t even light at first, but as he stood there colours started to seep into the black and grey as the sun rose.
O wouldn’t be awake for hours yet, no doubt and Kirley didn’t fancy sleeping just yet. Never liking to be at a loose end, he decided on a plan of action and set to it. Half an hour later he was knocking on Meghan’s door, or rather shouting through the letterbox. ‘Meggy-May, I brought breakfast.’
