Minerva thought about it a moment, she really did. They could use any help anyone was giving them at that rate, but she was not sure that it was the best thing for her friend to keep talking to this man. The man that had caused her so much pain. "I can't give you the answer to that, Poppy." She frowned. "I wish I had the answers. A part of me wants to say no it's not bad because we need the help, but then again, it feels like I'm encouraging you to go back to the man that hurt you." She didn't want her friend to hurt any more.
Minerva rested her hand softly on her friend's shoulder. "Because he wanted to play games with you." At least that's how it seemed to her. "He knew it would messed with your head more than if he didn't let you go." Or maybe he grew rather found of his prisoner, she didn't know for sure. "And it's okay to feel some attachment to him." She couldn't believe she was saying this out loud but it didn't mean she hadn't already thought it. "I mean, it's a terrible connection to have, to have someone have control over your life but it's still a strong connection nonetheless. He used you. He manipulated you." She sighed. "Sometimes it's easier to want to be back there than have to deal with the fallout here?" She guessed.
"We did look for you though. Every day." She felt like she needed to tell her friend that so she knew that they had cared. "We tried but we had no trace of him. Nothing to go off of..." They had still worked every angle they could dig up. "That had to be terrible..." Honestly, Minerva didn't know what else to say. To make her friend feel better about what she went through. "Just know you're not alone. Ever. Even if you're alone physically, we all still care about you." She wished she could say more, make things right but she didn't know how to. It tore at her.
