“My morning was interesting. Fought with Jack over something stupid, but things are better now.” He said with a nod, there was just the slightest hint of a smile on his lips, but he couldn’t bring himself to actually smile, knowing what he was about to say to her. He took a look around, making sure they were alone enough. It was one thing to have to do this, but it was a completely different thing to do it in a crowd.
“It’s about us…” He said flatly, not really sure how he should put it, he’d never thought of having to break up with someone before. “I don’t think we should keep being an us. And it’s… its not that you did anything wrong, because you didn’t. I just…” He wasn’t even sure what to tell her. Should he just tell her that he likes guys? Should he tell her about Jack? Certainly all of that would be highly inappropriate and just make her more upset.
“I just don’t appreciate you the way a brilliant, gorgeous, and amazing girl like you deserves and its wrong of me to keep you if I can’t appreciate you the way someone should. Because you’re one of my best friends and you deserve someone who is better than me.” He nodded.
