Characters: Fiona Kemp and Audrey Wadcock Setting: Hufflepuff Fifth Year Girls' Dorm, Wednesday Evening near curfew Summary: Fi hasn't told her parents about the Wizarding World's woes and is worried about it. She tries talking to her girlfriend about it. Rating/Warning: Bit of Snogging and petting, nothing more than PG-13.
Fi shifted in the bed, moving off her stomach and sitting back up as she pulled her sketch book into her lap. Her journal was still laying open beside her but she had tossed it aside after her short conversation with Audrey and was instead letting Lenny scurry around her bed, sketching him. She smiled to herself as the little mouse sat up on his hind legs and stretched out to sniff the air, looking away only when she heard the click of the dorm door.
“Hi, baby,” Audrey slipped into the dorm, holding a tray with two mugs of tea and freshly baked scones. “I come bearing food,” she said, holding the tray up and smiling across at her girlfriend.
“You’re brilliant,” Fi assured her, scooping her mouse up and dropped him into his cage on her bedside. She pulled her books to her and stowed them on the table as well as she made room on the bed for her girlfriend and used her wand to twitch the curtains shut when she was settled, giving them the most privacy they were going to get.
Setting the tray on the bed, Audrey settled down beside it, raising up onto her knees slightly to kiss Fi. “If anyone thinks so, it should be you,” she said, wrapping her hands around her mug and taking a sip. “But I think you’re rather brilliant, yourself.”
Fi’s smile, which had been buried beneath worry and fretting, sprang to life with Audrey’s kiss and she happily placed her hand over the other girl’s and kissed her back. “We’re brilliant together then,” she compromised, feeling better now she had Aud with her. She picked the other mug up from the tray and took a sip, letting out a contented sigh out as she enjoyed the warm drink.
“We are,” Aud agreed, reaching out to break off a piece of scone. Though she wanted to lie beside the other girl and snuggle her, she contented herself with her tea, for now. “I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages,” she said, after a moment. “I miss you.” T “I missed you too,” Fi said, giving her a weak smile, fully understanding (and equally disliking) the distant feeling. “It’s been mad,” she sighed again, taking another step as she tried to keep her busy mind at ease and enjoy her girlfriend’s presence for at least a few more moments.
“I think,” she said, stretching her feet out and pressing them gently against Fi’s leg. “That maybe my bed could spend the night by itself tonight?” she suggested, hopefully.
Fi set her mug down and broke off a bit of scone, smiling up at Aud and pressed her leg against her feet. “I think that’s a great idea,” she said, nodding before she popped the bit of scone, excited now that she had the prospect of Audrey to snuggle all night. “Have you heard from your parents yet?”
Nodding, Aud matched Fi’s smile. “They’re fine, thankfully,” she answered, past a mouthful of scone. “They’re not sure how they feel about things, they mentioned leaving, but Gemma always gets scared about things, I don’t think Da wants to leave,” she took a sip of of her tea, loving the way it warmed through her. “Have you talked to your parents?”
“No,” Fi said after a moment, shaking her head before taking another sip. “They don’t really know what’s going on,” she started to explain, suddenly wondering if Aud would disagree with her decision to keep her parents in the dark.
“What do you think they would do if they knew?” she asked, her brow furrowed slightly as she took another piece of scone.
“I don’t know,” Fi said, shrugging. “It’s not that they don’t care about all of this, it’s just not their world, they’ve never really gotten it. I never wanted them to overreact or worry too much,” she explained, wrapping both hands around her mug to keep them from fidgeting. “And now...I don’t know.”
“You don’t...” Aud started then frowned and carefully set her mug down on Fi’s nightstand, her voice soft when she spoke again. “They wouldn’t take you away, would they?”
“Maybe?” Fi shrugged, unable to get her nerves at the thought from showing through. She honestly wasn’t sure how her parents would take the news but in her head she didn’t picture them taking it well. She figured if she was in their place she wouldn’t take it well, how could you take something so well when you couldn’t understand or be a part of it. She knew Hogwarts was the safest place to be but she wasn’t sure her parents would buy it that a school was safer than her home, away from the purists and Death Eaters and war. “I couldn’t go,” she said after a moment, shaking her head and upset to find herself tearing up at the very thought.
Shaking her head, Audrey reached out and carefully took the mug from Fi’s hand, placing it next to hers on the night stand, adding the plate of scones before taking Fi into her arms. “I don’t want you to,” she told her, quietly, her voice muffled by the other girl’s hair.
Feeling immensely better as soon as Audrey’s hugged her, Fi wrapped her arms around her girlfriend and squeezed her tightly. “I couldn’t leave you here,” she said, fully meaning it. She didn’t care if her parents demanded she come home, she couldn’t picture going through all that was happening without Audrey by her side. “Who’d keep an eye on you,” she joked quietly, trying to keep herself from becoming too emotional, ignoring the prickling behind her eyes.
Burying her face in the crook of Fi’s neck, Audrey clung to her. “I’d be lonely,” she said, softly, kissing her neck idly before wrapping her arms around her.
“I don’t want you to be lonely,” Fi said, letting out a soft, happy noise at her kisses and gently stroked her hair. “Ever.”
“I’ve got you,” Aud said, simply, tugging Fi down to the bed with her and snuggling comfortably against the other girl. “I won’t ever be.”
Scooting with her, Fi snuggled closer to the other girl and pressed a firm, slow kiss to her lips. “I love you,” she said softly, pulling back just slightly.
“I love you, too,” Aud responded, cuddling against Fi. “If you leave,” she said, after a long moment, comfortable beside her girlfriend. “I’ll come with you.”
Fi pulled back a little more so she could actually look at Audrey. She opened her mouth but shut it promptly, loving her girlfriend even more as she knew she really would go with her, no matter what was happening. She gave her a kiss and snuggled up close to her, kissing her neck lightly. “We could just run away now,” she suggested, “go someplace warm and sunny.”
“I’ve always wanted to go to Italy,” Aud piped up, moving her head so Fi could kiss her neck, the feeling sending delicious shivers up her spine. “Drink espresso and eat spaghetti all day. That’s what they do in Italy, yeah?”
“An’ say ‘Ciao’,” Fi murmured, reluctantly to remove her lips from Aud’s smooth neck. She licked the curve of her neck as Aud moved against her and started kissing up toward her ear.
“Ciao,” Aud echoed, giggling lightly at the ticklish feel of Fi’s lips. “I could say ciao, I’m good at that,” there was a part of Audrey that realised she was spouting utter nonsense, but there was something about Fi’s proximity that made her lose all sense. “I bet they’d think I was native,” she told her, running her fingers through Fi’s hair.
“Well and you look so Italian,” Fi said, her voice about a whisper as she pressed a kiss to Audery’s ear. She gave her another kiss before she wrapped her lips around her ear lobe and sucked gently.
“Mmm,” Audrey hummed, twisting and pressing against her girlfriend. “I could charm my hair dark,” she loosed a breath, the last of her words coming out as a low moan. “Oh, Fi.”
As much as she enjoyed hearing Audrey’s moans and breathy tone, and even more enjoyed being the cause of it, as soon as she heard her idea she pulled back from her ear and stared her down. “Don’t you dare,” she warned, flashing a serious face, “That’s not even funny.”
“I...” Fi pulled back and it took a long moment for Aud to blink out of her haze of lust. “What?”
“I said don’t you dare charm your hair dark,” Fi repeated, reaching out to run her hand through Audrey’s wonderful hair. “I’ll charm it back if you do,” she added, grinning playfully.
“You like my hair the way it is?” she asked, smiling slightly, loving the way Fi made her feel.
“I love your red hair,” she said, tugging it gently as she ‘pulled’ Audrey in and swooped close to give her a quick kiss. “Well,” she said as she pulled back slightly and rested her head beside Aud’s. “I like everything about you.”
Snuggling close to Fi, Aud grinned widely, letting out a little giggle. “I like everything about you!” she echoed the other girl. “I’ll keep my hair red, we can pretend you’re Italian.”
Fi echoed Aud’s giggles and wrapped her arms around her waist. “Merlin no!” She shot her girlfriend a dubious expression and shook her head. “I’m not going to be anything but Scottish, you ARE mad!”
“Only if we’re hiding out in Italy!” Aud hastened to explain, shaking her head so her hair moved, tickling along Fi’s neck. “You look more Italian than I do!”
“Then we will be Scottish and ginger in Italy and just have to hide harder,” she said, grinning at the soft feeling of her hair, scooting closer to Aud.
Ducking her head and pressing her nose against Fi’s neck, Aud nuzzled close. “I’d love to live in Italy with you,” she murmured, against Fiona’s skin. “Or anywhere, or do anything, just so long as I’m with you.”
Fi closed her eyes, sighing softly at the way Audrey’s nose, lips and voice felt against her skin. She ran her hand up into Audrey’s hair, gently holding her head against her neck. “I couldn’t be anywhere without you,” she promised.
“I love you,” Aud told her, her smile wide enough that her cheeks ached.
“I love you too,” Fi assured her, sliding her hand to her check to pull her in to meet a kiss, drawing it out before she could pull back.
“Can I just stay here forever?” Audrey asked, kissing her back. “No one would mind, right? If I moved in?”
“I think they might notice,” Fi said against her lips. “And they’ll notice when we never show up to class again,” she pointed out.
“We’ll go just often enough so they don’t get suspicious,” she responded, loosing a breath as she pressed against the other girl. “Twice a week or so, that should work, yeah?”
“Except I don’t think I could leave or go anywhere if you were right here every day,” Fi said, brushing her fingers over the thin stretch of skin at the bottom of Aud’s shirt. “Waking up here with you, nah.” There was no way she’d leave the dorm.
Aud let out a little noise at the touch of Fiona’s fingers against her skin. “We’d have to shower at some point,” she pointed out, moving up against her.
Fi’s breath caught in her throat at the feeling of Audrey pressed closed and moving against her. Her mind immediately thought of showering with her girlfriend and the exciting though, as well as their closeness, made her cheeks flush, radiating warmth.
“Baby,” Audrey breathed, her heart beating in her throat as she pressed against the other girl. She wanted more so badly, but wasn’t sure how to make that move. The logical part of her supposed that they should talk about it, but she couldn’t quite bring herself to do that, and the same part of her argued that she shouldn’t be having sex if she couldn’t even talk about it.
Letting out a quiet whimper, Fi felt a thrill shoot all the way through her at the way Audrey called her baby. It made her heart hammer in chest and she shifted nervously, moving her body against her girlfriend’s in the process. “Merlin,” she whispered, pressing her lips to Aud’s as she kissed her hungrily, her mind whirling with the thoughts of doing more with the other girl but barely able to contain herself at them.
Aud pressed her hand against Fi’s side, under her shirt, stroking the soft skin there. “Fi,” she made a noise, into the kiss, pressing up against her. She moved, winding around the other girl, unable to think past the way Fi felt against her, she never wanted to leave the bed.
Fi felt Audrey wrapping around her and felt her heart flutter at the feeling of her. She pressed closer to the other girl and slid her hand further along Audrey’s skin, sliding her hand all the way under her shirt and across her back. “Baby,” she sighed.
“Oh,” Aud made another noise, arching up against her girlfriend, loving the way Fiona felt against her. “I love you, Fi,” she murmured, moving towards her and sliding her hand up, across Fi’s skin, gently stroking the curve of her breast through her bra, her heart beating in her throat
“I love you, Aud,” Fi responded, her voice catching and turning into a squeak as she felt her girlfriend’s fingers caressing her. “Merlin,” she sighed, not realising as she arched toward her touch.
“Fi, I...” Aud breathed, cutting her moan off and sliding her hand up, running her finger along the top of Fi’s bra, not nearly as nervous as she thought she’d be in this situation.
“Merlin,” Fi muttered, excited and nervous all at the same time at Aud’s fingers. She wrapped her arms tightly around her girlfriend and gave a reassuring nod before she pressed their lips together and snogged her.
Taking a breath, Aud kissed Fi back, working the fingers of her other hand around Fi’s back and fumbling with the clasp on her bra for a moment before managing to undo it, grinning triumphantly. “Aha!” she giggled, before dropping back to kiss Fi, moving her hand back around to cup Fi’s breast, loving the way it felt, suddenly wanting nothing more than to spend the rest of her life there.
Fi made a noise somewhere between a moan and a whimper, amazed that anything could feel so good. She knew it would wonderful, even just the feeling of Aud’s fingers on her arm or cheek sent tingles down her spine. The way she felt against the soft, sensitive skin of her breast made her mind completely derail. She felt her girlfriend tentatively tease her nipple and her brain checked out completely, overwhelmed at what as going on. “Fuck,” she hissed under her breath.
“Good?” Aud asked, stilling her fingers against Fi’s nipple, hoping that she was doing things right, this was all new and Aud wasn’t sure at all what to do.
Unable to find her voice right away, Fi nodded fervently. She did manage to get a message to her own hands to do something and slid one over Aud’s hip, moving from her back to her stomach. She meant to copy Aud’s movements but stopped and opened her eyes quickly when she heard the click of the dorm door and the sound of her noisy, laughing roommates entering.
“No!” Aud whispered, matching Fi’s expression at the noise, her eyes wide, glad that they’d pulled the curtains shut. She twisted back away from the other girl instinctively, tugging her hands back against herself. Frowning, she shook her head and dropped it to Fi’s shoulder, pressing a kiss to it.
Letting out a small squeak of irritation at her dormmates as Audrey whipped her hands away, Fi moved towards her. “Well,” she sighed and whispered, pressing a kiss against Audrey’s temple as she leaned into her shoulder. “They have the worst timing.”
“Uh huh,” Aud nodded, winding herself around Fi and idly stroked her stomach, through her shirt. “But it’s alright, baby,” she said, after a moment. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Fi nodded, smiling as Audrey snuggled against her, and moved so she could hold onto her girlfriend while they snuggled. “Better not be,” she said, realising her mind was going to be busier than ever, adding this onto all the other things she couldn’t stop thinking about. At least this was preferable to her parents or the Ministry.
