Hannah had been thinking a lot lately, about the way that things happened at the Ministry, how Umbridge was in charge of the Wizengamot, that the laws were going to be changing and ultimately, how all of these things were going to impact all of them. Dumbledore said that the Ministry had no control over Hogwarts but they already seized it once; there was a pretty good chance that no matter what they tried to do, it was possible that it could happen again. The thought sent a shiver down her spine and she exhaled deeply, shaking her head. They thought that she was the worst that they were going to get for so long.
Now they have this.
Realistically, Hannah was more numb than most to the problems that were going on. She felt for the people who lost their parents but she already lost her mum and her sister to the Death Eaters, to her it was just a fact of life now. There wasn't a lot of time to sit around and mourn now, that time had past and now it was time for them to start practicing again. The gold coin that was given out to the DA members two years back was always in her pocket; secretly she hoped that it would spring to life in the middle of the night, just so they could feel that rush again. For now it lay cold but hopefully, no, eventually that coin would spark up again.
As she absentmindedly flipped through her Transfiguration notebook, Hannah heard footsteps come up behind her. She didn't really think much of it, but as they grew closer, she gently closed her book and pulled her wand out from her sleeve, preparing to defend herself. She turned her head to the side to see who it was and a faint, "Oh," slipped from her lips with a slight surprise.
