Fleur glanced around the spotless apartment as she considered her surroundings making sure they were company appropriate. It was a completely misplaced train of thought as both her and Bill were borderline neat-freaks. There was hardly ever a true mess in their apartment. It just did not happen. Still, Fleur found herself straightening a picture frame or rearranging something. It was a way of keeping her hands busy. The events of the weekend were still weighing heavily on her mind and because she thought of it she brought her hand up to her neck where Demetrius' hand print was still bruised onto her skin, albeit faintly. It wasn't noticeable if you didn't know it was there and she was glad for that. It would undoubtedly lead to questions she did not want to or could not answer.
Her thoughts still a mile away, Fleur ran her fingertips lightly over the picture of her and her sister and then over to one of her favorites of her and Bill. Bill was quick on his feet, it was why the killing curses had missed him at the Minsitry but the tiny seed of fear was still there. Fleur found herself wondering what if they hadn't. It was a possibility she didn't want to ponder. She wouldn't allow herself to think such thoughts and she didn't have to because that was when there was a knock on her door. She was saved from her own thoughts.
"Eric! Come in..." She smiled happily as she stepped aside and let him inside. It was not smart for anyone to be lingering out and about at the moment. Not that Fleur thought anything was going to happen but you couldn't be too careful. "Comment êtes-vous?" Fleur asked him as she moved from the doorway into the apartment. It was nice to have company, she had to admit. Bill was out and she really didn't want to be alone. It almost felt like she was caught in the middle of another Triwizard event. "Avez-vous faim? J'ai fait le déjeuner." Like any good host she couldn't invite someone over and not at least offer to feed them. Her mother would be screaming in her head at her for her manners if she did.
Fleur moved over to the kitchen and pulled out a few dishes. It was a simple and light lunch, a salad and sandwiches. It wasn't what they were used to in France, as lunch was their main big meal, maybe English customs were rubbing off on her. Though it was nice, Fleur had to admit, to sit there and talk to someone in French. It was like a tiny piece of home.
