Who: Poppy Pomfrey and Alastor Moody When: Immediately following this Where: Stratton upon Avon. What: After Antonin leaves Poppy in the middle of a Muggle town, she asks Moody to come rescue her. Rating: TBD
Through a haze of shock and fear, Poppy managed to stumble through the muggle streets until she found a small park, where she collapsed on a bench and buried her head in her hands. Dimly, it occurred to her how fortunate she was that it was rather late in the evening; she likely would have frightened any passerby with her somewhat wild appearance and the deep, gasping breaths she took as she tried to keep panic at bay.
“Okay,” she whispered to herself, as if speaking would make it so. She was alone in a strange town, and would surely splinch if she tried to apparate anywhere. The mere thought of the Knight Bus sent her perilously close to a panic attack, and she was unlikely to find an owl anywhere nearby. But… she could likely manage a Patronus message.
There was no question as to whom to contact. After a quick glance to make certain she was alone, Poppy cast the spell, slumping back against the bench afterward. Mild shock, malnutrition and dehydration, she diagnosed idly, using the distraction to keep her mind from circling where she did not wish it to go.
What if Antonin was right, and no one cared? What if he didn’t come?
