John settled against the counter, between his knees, turning his face up to kiss him. This was why he preferred leaving work at the office, these days - this was so much better unadulterated. He wasn't sure he could tell Rolf about what was bothering him, anyhow, and he didn't want to make anything up. If it had just been some run-of-the-mill problem, it would have been different, but he wasn't even sure what this ... was.
"Mm. Make my own supper for a while, I guess." He took another drink, considering him with a smile. He couldn't have said what a short time was, but of course he knew Rolf traveled for his work - it was one of the first things he'd learned about him - and if he had to leave for a few weeks at a time, well ... he'd been lonely longer than that. Assuming the rent was paid, it was unlikely anything completely disastrous would happen. "I'll try to clear all the takeaway cartons out before you get home. Of course you should come back here." He'd only been here for three months, but already the thought of going back to living alone was intensely distasteful. He slid his free hand up to Rolf's waist, curling his fingers into his shirt. "I'd miss you. A lot."
