Julien looked a little worried at that, guessing that his tutoring hadn't really worked for Alfie and also slightly concerned that the boy could harm himself because Julien had clearly taught him wrong.
"Uhm, the basics are right." he said with a smile that he hoped was encouraging and not panicked. "I'm sorry, I was going too fast, wasn't I. Maybe we could..." he looked down at the text. "I don't know, would it help if we rewrote the important stuff onto cards and then go through what links it all up in a bit more detail? So you'll have the important bits-" so he couldn't die. "-but won't get bogged down on the stuff that isn't that important?" He hoped Alfie didn't deck him for wasting his time.
