Percy blinked at her observation. He didn't have much ulterior motive in choosing his costume, besides that he thought it might be a little fun. 'Go as somebody unlike you', was Riona's suggestion, and a pirate just about foot that bill, perfectly. He looked down at what he wore and wondered... had he made his choice, subconsciously?
"Well, you certainly surprised me. In a good way, of course," he added, before she took it the wrong way. Actually, for a moment, he allowed himself to remember how she had first approached him, letting his imagination linger before saying. "Well, you do that to some degree at the shop, don't you? Though, I daresay if you wore that behind the counter, you'd get much more customers and perhaps the Indulgent Tart would live up to its name." He smirked, happily accepting the plate from her. "I don't know if I'm precisely that sort of pirate, plundering and all that. I'm more along the lines of Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance. It is, it is a glorious thing, to be a pirate king!" He wondered then if she knew the reference.
Taking a nibble off the corner of one of the cookies, he was very pleased by the taste. "Delicious!"
