Who: Aidan Lynch and Fleur Delacour When: October 10th, afternoon Where: Gringotts What: Aidan's found something a little weird in his fanmail. Rating: TBD, Low probably Open/Closed: Open to Fleur (Bill too if he's around)
The ring wasn't the strangest item he'd ever received in fanmail. But there was something about it that had him thinking twice before touching it. Yes, it was a nice gesture, but he didn't want to slip it on his finger only to find that he was forever attached to someone he didn't even know. He'd had it happen before. In school someone had slipped him a love potion; spiked his morning pumpkin juice. It hadn't been a very pleasant experience. Especially as the object of his infatuation had been female. Definitely not his type. Deciding to play safe rather than wake up married, or worse. He apparated to The Leaky and wandered through the bar to Diagon. A few people said hello to him, comiserating over Kenmare's loss at the weekend; Aidy was friendly and polite to all of them, though he didn't stay to chat long.
Gringotts was his destination, sometimes it paid to know people and Aidan was lucky enough to have been in the same year as Bill at school. Hopefully the red head would be at work that day, in the office anyway. The Goblins, for their part, recognised him as a good -read "well off"- customer and were always ready to help. Not friendly, they never were to Wizards as far as he new, but polite. When he asked if he might talk with Bill, or one of the other Cursebreakers, he was told to wait and one of the more youthful looking Goblins disappeared into the depths of the building. Aidy was pretty good at waiting, he fidgeted a little, but not overly so and when a Witch with a couple of little lads in tow came over he was more than happy to sign autographs for them.
As the minutes ticked by, he wondered if he was over reacting. Maybe it realy was just a ring, just a gift. Like the numerous Snitches people had sent him were. He'd almost talked himself into retracting his enquiry when the Goblin returned with a familiar, beautiful, blonde.
