"A master besides Sirius," Andromeda confirmed with a small nod. "We're not sure." She faltered. "I feared Narcissa or Bellatrix," she hated saying her sisters' names in their home. She hated acknowledging that she had blood family who would never accept Dora. But there was little way to avoid it this time.
"Or perhaps one of their husbands," Andromeda pressed. "But Sirius seemed to find it unlikely." They hadn't been able to come to a clear guess on who could have been controlling Kreacher at the moment. Andromeda was still mostly fixated on the idea that it could be one of her sisters or their families.
Andromeda hugged Dora in return, grateful for her daughter's understanding.
"I just want you to keep a sharp eye out," Andromeda said, smiling a little and patting her gently on the cheek. "It's unlikely that he'll bother you, but -" Andromeda let the last few words dangle freely, certain that Dora would know what she meant to say.
