Who: Jimmy Peakes.
What: Jimmy is more or less freaking out and can't be negotiated with. He's not thinking rationally. He only knows Alex is gone and it's his fault.
Where: Hogwarts Castle.
When: Approaching (and exceeding) Curfew; following the return from Hogsmeade.
Status/Rating: Complete/PG-13.
Jimmy shot out of the Fourth Year Dormitories of Gryffindor with what was quite possibly the loudest "FUCK!" ever uttered in the fourth year dorms. It was loud enough to disturb paintings, which angrily called after him to watch his language. Jimmy was not thinking- not clearly anyway. It had all happened in a flash and he said nothing to Dennis, to Nigel or to Angus. One moment he was getting ready for bed and the next he was reading a letter. Terror gripped him and he erupted in a cold sweat when he looked over to Alex's part of the room. He flung open Alex's cupboard and closet and found it bare. The letter he dropped, and he was off like a gazelle.
He slid down the bannister in his pajama bottoms and t-shirt and picked it up into a jog straight out the painting, flinging his ropey arms out with more force than needed to open the door. The cold stone of Hogwarts' corridors gripped his bare feet but Jimmy simply did not care. He was down the stairs ascending to Gryffindor Tower when he overheard voices. He didn't know who's and he didn't care. He skirted around a statue, hiding his smallness until he was sure they'd passed, then took off in a run for the locker rooms and the broom shed. There was a lot between him and there, Jimmy knew...
... It was time to see how well his sneaking skills were put to the test. Jimmy was not book smart, but he could be clever. He stopped for a moment, hearing voices and the faint glow of an oncoming lantern. He turned his wand quickly in his clenching palm and decided the broom shed might be a bit obvious if his boyfriend got involved. Dennis knew him well. But he had little chance of getting to Hogsmeade on foot before Filch or someone else was able to run him down.
He decided he had to chance it, and ducked a back stairway...
