Who: Jimmy and Dennis. What: An evening fly (and TBD). Where: Above Hogwarts Castle (mostly around the Pitch). When: BACKDATE: Tuesday October 4th, evening. Status/Rating: Incomplete/Probably Low.
Jimmy's arms folded around Dennis and hung his hands limply against the other boy's butt. His eyes were alight but his grin a doofy welcome. "Hi," he whispered. He'd seen Dennis a few times today but they didn't have any time alone. In the locker rooms were the broom shed was, they had a little privacy- even if it smelled like sweaty gym socks. Jimmy leaned in and took his kiss. He wanted more but he wanted to get in the air just as badly. It wasn't everyday that Dennis agreed to go flying with him.
But the less obvious truth was this: Jimmy didn't seem quite right. It wasn't the rubbers that were preoccupying him and what it meant. And it wasn't Ron's promise to show him what he meant from before. The truth was simple: apart from having Dennis, Jimmy was lonely. He could dress it up however he wanted, but Jimmy missed Alexander terribly. He'd been so sure that Alex would have decided to apologize by now, and they'd be able to be best mates again. Instead they hadn't talked and barely even glanced at each other. It bothered Jimmy more than he let on to anyone- even Dennis.
Their lips came apart and Jimmy's eyes flashed with something- it might have been how happy he was kissing Dennis because he was always happy kissing Dennis. It felt nice. Sometimes it felt nice to take his shirt off and feel his skin too. But the spectre of big other things- things that required rubbers- was daunting to him. Every time he talked about stuff like that to anyone, he felt weird. And he couldn't get away from this feeling that he was scaring Dennis to death even by mentioning it, even in the most innocent way. So he kept his burden to himself as often as his will would let him.
Jimmy tucked his lip under his teeth, looking doofy with his smile. "Want to go flying?"
