Who: Sirius Black, Nymphadora Tonks, and NPC!Dylan Where: Sirius's place When: Sunday afternoon, around lunchtime What: Tonks drops by Rating: Low
While Tonks insisted up and down she didn't have a maternal bone in her body, the thought of having a baby cousin - sort of a nephew, right? - intrigued her to no end. Poor Sirius, really, having this all foisted upon him, since he was probably the only person on the planet less suited to parenthood than she was. They were Blacks, after all. It was genetic.
However, she wanted to meet him. So packing up enough food to feed a small toddler army, she tucked Romeo in her pocket, checked to make sure she had everything she could possibly think of, and promptly Apparated near Sirius's.
During the walk to his front door, it occurred to her that if she stayed with Charlie, if they somehow magically worked things out, this could be her in a year's time. Faced with a small person and utterly bewildered as to what to do. He'd wanted children, after all, and he'd made that clear right off the bat--that he'd wanted children with her. The thought terrified her, and perhaps that was one of the reasons she was so reluctant to move left or right when it came to her relationship with Charlie. She loved him. As a best friend, if not yet as a lover. And she ached not being able to ring him or pop on by. Was this what she wanted? A family? A kid? Multiple kids? A house by the ocean?
She didn't know. And unlike Sirius, she had a choice in the matter. She just wasn't sure which direction to take.
Arriving on Sirius's stoop, she rang the doorbell and stroked Romeo in her pocket. Time to find out what form a spawn of Sirius's took.
