Who: Tamsin Applebee and Dean Thomas When: BACKDATED Friday Evening after classes Where: Near the Lake What: Dean helps Tamsin with her defense. Rating: PG Open/Closed: Closed (but Open to Finn, if she would like to join)
Thankful that all of his classes had been let out for the day, Dean headed down towards the lake after spending a bit of time talking to a few of his friends. As much as he enjoyed all that each subject had to offer, some where far more boring than he would have liked. It wasn't just History of Magic either. Some just were dull at a specific point. That was something that he could count on happening a few times throughout the day. It also helped that there was guaranteed time with Lisa Turpin. That was obviously a plus in every single way. Even so, he pushed all thoughts of school work aside, which included the mass amount of homework that he had received throughout the day as he continued to walk the beaten path into the grass. He hadn't forgotten that he promised a young Hufflepuff, named Tamsin, that he was willing to help her with defense.
Even though Dean hadn't talked a great deal to Tamsin, it didn't mean that he didn't take note of her. And it wasn't because she took a tumble down the flight of stairs for him to take notice of her as she inadvertently injuring herself. No, not in the slightest. The dark haired girl was filled with energy, so he had seen her buzzing through the hallways quickly one way or another, which counted the times that he had seen her flying through the pitch. Of course, they had a few conversations in the past, and there was that important manner of defending her from a rude boy that barely knew how to speak to a girl in the first place in a proper way.
Settling down on the grass as he reached their appointed destination on the grounds, Dean didn't even bother heading back to the common room to change in his muggle street clothes. There was plenty of time in the remainder of the day to accomplish that. He just wanted to make sure that he didn't keep her waiting. There wasn't a specific time that they had appointed in meeting up that day. Just the fact that it was once classes had commenced for the day. Either way, he was sure that she would show up shortly, especially since Moody was the one that pointed out that she needed to practice her defense more. The old auror was right with that fact. Everyone needed to practice more with the pending threat that dwelled beyond the walls of Hogwarts.
Figuring that he had a bit of time to spare, Dean pulled out his sketch book and continued to make a few adjustments of a sketch that he had started in the middle of charms. Since it was only the outline of the drawing, there was nothing special to it at the moment. He was sure by the end of the day a rough draft would be complete and ready to show towards everyone around him, unsure if anyone would be able to tell that he had sketched Bela Lugosi as Dracula to the best of his memory. If Tamsin finally made an appearance in the next few minutes, Dean would barely noticed unless she spoke out verbally in his direction. Leave it to him to become fully engulfed in a sketch.
