Professor Sprout,
I know that all the teachers are busy. I understand that you have your own lives and that you have your jobs as teachers. But I also know that a number of you have journals and are watching what we post, how we do it and who we converse with. My issue is that it seems lately there are a lack of teachers noticing things if the post does not appear to be a, ah, racy topic to start with.
Point in case is my most recent post. It was simply supposed to be a post about my new kitten that my brother got me for our birthday and an inquiry as to good names. It, unfortunately, turned in to so much more than that. At first I'd gotten a few responses about potential names, but then Sherwood Partington thought to turn it in to more. I understand that we're teenagers and dating is often on our mind, but he was crass and creepy about it.
I also feel that he deserves more of a punishment for what he did than I am able to give. I don't feel that it is proper or fair for him to get away with what he did. Asking someone to snog (or more as he eluded both in my journal and his own) should be kept private and out of school. I think for something of that nature more than points lost ought to occur.
And so I brought this matter before you as you are my Head of House. I shall leave the decision ultimately with you.
Best Regards,
Ellie Cattermole
