Characters: Maxine O’Flaherty & Daphne Greengrass Setting: Hogwarts Courtyard, Early Evening Summary: SCENE LOTTERY: When I start to make you nervous Rating: Cattiness?
" Hanging around the the courtyard, Max stood up in one of the arches ringing it and looked out over the other students for anybody interesting. Classes had been out for long enough that most had filtered back to their dorms, put away their stuff and were either getting their work out of the way or were like her and more interested in enjoying themselves before dinner started. She leaned back against the pillar and slid down til she was sitting in the archway, rather let down that she could find anyone to keep her company or at the very least entertain her. Until they had tryouts and practices were able to start up again she wasn’t always sure what to do with herself. Anything that wasn’t flying felt like such a waste of time sometimes.
Max leaned over slightly, careful not to lose her balance, and plucked a copy of Seeker Weekly from her bag. The season was fast approaching but, just like the wait she had to endure for the school season, it wasn’t quite upon them yet and the only fix she had was pre-season news. Still, there had been some interesting picks of rookies that year and she couldn’t wait to see what the teams did with them. The Kestrals, of course, were going to stomp all others but it was still interesting to see who might put up some fight. After a few minutes she got antsy and hopped off the ledge, thinking she’d rather get out of the busy area and have a cigarette and quiet, if there wasn’t going to be any decent company for her until dinner.
