She'd been letting her anger build up slowly, getting more and more upset with Alexander. She'd actually liked Myron. He'd been nice and fun and didn't get angry at her and clam up for no reason. He hadn't laughed at her when she didn't know anything about muggle music. It had been a pleasant evening and he was still being pleasant and apologetic about everything. It just made her angry.
And the, for one brief moment, she rather forgot what she was saying and quite how bothered she was. She even forgot the fact that she wanted to hex Alexander's face off. Just briefly. Alexander was kissing her. She knew she should do something outside of stand there and calculate the correct response in her head. Kissing him would make him happy. She knew that. She couldn't help but think of Mercy...and this kind of felt like kissing Mercy, which felt a little strange to her mind.
She just stood there for a moment, trying to figure out what to say. "Oh," was all she said at first. She needed to say more than that, though. Something that would be useful. "That clears a few things up." Alright, so that wasn't strictly useful. She fought with her mind, knowing what to do to get things to turn out the way she wanted, but she also knew that would end up with things very far from the way she wanted, too. "Bugger," she muttered under her breath.
