Who: Draco Malfoy & Lisa Turpin What: Scene lottery! A run-in in the stacks. Where: Hogwarts, the library When: This afternoon Warnings/Rating: TBA/Low
Draco didn't often go prowling through the library looking for anything. If he needed a book for an essay - and even if Crabbe or Goyle couldn't be trusted to go find it - odds were that one of hise Housemates had found it first, and all he had to do was wait til they were finished (or, if the situation was urgent, just borrow it for a bit). NEWT work was a little more independent, but he'd still managed for the most part to avoid pacing up and down the aisles looking for the right number like some sort of idiot.
After failing to find any other copies of the book Scamander had sent him, however, he was determined to find something similar that he could offer up to Astoria and her lot for their reading group. It was mostly because he wanted to be impressive - he hadn't had much of a chance, this year - but he was also beginning to think it was something worth talking about. He'd never heard any of his professors address why it wouldn't be better for the wizarding world to stop hiding like - well, like mice in the walls was the only simile he needed to use, even if it wasn't his own. He wasn't really one for words. Anyhow, he wasn't about to walk up to Madam Pince and ask her if she had anything on putting the Muggles in their proper place, thank you very much, so he'd just fumbled around in the section about the International Statute of Secrecy and come up with two books that didn't look completely boring. He was carting them around now to the Astronomy section, figuring he might as well not waste the trip. He needed a book on Phobos and Deimos, and shuffled along the aisle looking for it, annoyed that it wasn't just under 'Mars.'
