WHO: Fleur Delacour & Andrew Cresswell WHEN: Tuesday afternoon, September 13, 1997 WHERE: Diagon Alley WHAT: Scene Lottery! Days go by I’m hypnotized RATING: PG I’m thinking? For the occasional curse. I can’t imagine Andy getting very grr argh with a stranger. -coughs- OPEN/CLOSED: Closed
Things were odd for Andy. Then again it seemed like things were always a little odd for Andy. At work he had to deal with seeing Kingsley all the time. He really didn’t have a personal life and so he was living vicariously through his younger brother who was a) straight and b) worked with something that terrified Andrew. When had he become such a recluse? Certainly he’d never been as outgoing as Toad was, but he most definitely wasn’t the shut-in that he’d been for years now. How could he have let his life spiral out of control like this? All because of one person even! Unacceptable.
So today he was trying to get out of his funk a bit. He’d tried commenting to a couple people in the journals the other day. Most days when he actually bothered to crack it open he stared at it in a daze, uncertain as to what he should actually do. He didn’t really know all that many people who used the journals beyond a casual acquaintance sort of way. He should make an effort to change that, but even in school reaching out to the other students really wasn’t Andy’s thing.
Today he decided that perhaps just going into Diagon Alley would be the best. He’d heard of a place called The Indulgent Tart over and over during the summer time that had food tastings, so perhaps he could go there. If nothing else at least he was getting out and away from work. It was nice to just wander and watch everyone without constantly thinking.
Though the one problem about wandering was even while watching people he’d let his mind wander and that was just what it was doing now. And of course that inevitably spelled disaster as he felt himself crash into another person. His arms quickly went out without a thought to steady the young woman he’d ran in to and he grimaced, an apologetic smile coming to face. “Terribly sorry about that. I fear I let my mind wander a bit too far today.”
