Amycus didn’t like being sent out on any sort of errands. It was irritating. He also didn’t care that said errand was for the Dark Lord. He didn’t have a whole lot of interest in actually doing anything the man said nowadays if it wasn’t for his sister, Alecto. Today he was in a bit of a rare mood however and decided that perhaps he could actually make an attempt at something he knew the Dark Lord was interested in, the swelling of his ranks. Recruiting certainly wasn’t one of his strongest suits, but he knew enough to know that he’d at least be listened to and could go from there.
There was a list of potential recruits that he knew of and there was one specific name that caught his eye. He wasn’t entirely certain why this one name had stood out. Perhaps it was because the young brat’s parents were only a few years younger and had been in the same house as him. Really it wasn’t hard to tell sometimes why something stood out to Amycus. But either way one Alexander Greengrass III was about to have an unexpected encounter with one Amycus Carrow. And he was going to listen to exactly what Amycus had to say whether he wanted to or not.
So a week or so before he decided to meet the little snot he started a bit of research into him. He found out that he was training to be an Unspeakable for the Ministry. It didn’t take much to figure out when he got off work and he’d managed to find out that dear little Greengrass would be heading into Knockturn this fine evening. That would certainly be the perfect place to approach him to start out.
So Knockturn was where Amycus found himself now. He was leaning against a wall not too far in to the actually alley, a dark cloak thrown over him. The hood was also pulled up, obscuring his face from prying eyes as he waited for the person he was here to see. It wasn’t long until he spotted him and a sneer found its way to his face for only a moment before he went blank. Work was work and so he set off tailing the young snot, waiting to see just how long it would take for him to notice.
