Getting the paperwork to borrow a book from the Hogwarts' library wasn't very difficult at all. Not for an unspeakable at least. The paperwork was more of a formality than anything, allowing Troy to flash official papers to people for the things he needed. It was kind of great, and it let him do things like a quick visit his old school.
The halls were familiar, a few years away from it had not changed the sense of safety he felt. The students were all in their classes so the halls remained mostly empty, save for a few Newt students with free periods. He made his way towards the library where Madam Pince worked, hoping he could say hello to her. She could help find the book he needed! And he definitely needed help since the book would most likely be in the restricted section - something he had only ever been to browse at once.
Back in his later years at Hogwarts, Troy had developed a small crush on the librarian. It was a school boy fantasy and he knew nothing would come of it but it didn't mean he didn't enjoy seeing her or chatting with her about the books he had finished reading. The crush was soon dismissed after he left school, getting wrapped up in the real world and busy trying not to blow up the entire ministry, but now that he was going to see her again, he could feel a familiar giddiness that crept into his chest. He might not fancy Madam Pince anymore but that didn't mean he wasn't excited to see her. He was curious as to how she was now, and if she looked any different.
When he reached the library he entered with a giant grin, grateful to see that his favorite place remained mostly the same.
