Owl delivery at Breakfast to Ron and Ginny Weasley
Dear Ron,
I've held off on writing to you for as long as I could. I didn't want to be a nuisance, and with the first week of classes and catching up with your school friends, I'd hardly believe you'd have the time to write me first. Especially since I've kept you locked up all summer. (I know how you and Ginny felt about it, but really, it was for your own good) But now that you've settled back into your usual routine I'd figured it was a good enough time to write you.
The Burrow's been a bit dull without you and Ginny around. Everyone's grown up and your brothers don't visit as much as I'd like them too. They're busy too, and your father...I swear! If we didn't sleep in the same bed, I'd forget what he looks like! He still works very hard and very late, and as proud as I am, I can't help but wish he'd come home a bit more. I suppose staying in this big house alone gets to me a bit. But don't worry about me dear, it's always a bit of an adjustment when you kids leave for school. Takes a little while, but then I'm busy making your Christmas sweaters and worrying about the things you get up to.
Remember your prefect responsibilities Ronald, although, if you were to forget, I'm sure Hermione would remind you. Try not to get into too much trouble, you've got to set an example after all. And be sure to send Harry and Hermione my regards and well wishes. Take care of Ginny,
Love,
Mum
Dear Ginny,
When I was at Hogwarts and things would get tough, that necklace always made me feel safe and like everything was going to be okay. I hope it does that for you too. Your first NEWT year isn't easy and anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. It takes a bit of adjusting to the new assignments and expectations. So long as you find some time to relax though, you'll be fine. (But that doesn't mean you should slack off!) You've still got an entire year before you actually have to take the tests, I don't want you to feel so stressed that you'd be forced to take a calming draught. Just know that no matter what, we love you, so enjoy your year and find a good balance between fun and work. I'm sure you'll do fine though, you always do.
How's it feel being Quidditch captain now that you're back in school? I would love to hear all about it. And have you gotten your team set up yet? I know that you were planning on doing tryouts. I want to see Gryffindor win the cup!
Keep your eye on your brother will you? Make sure he stays out of trouble? And you be sure to too.
Love,
Mum
P.S.The garden gnomes practically threw a party when you and Ron left. I guess they feel that they don't have to worry about being thrown across the field without my pestering you to. Well, as soon as I get more important things squared away, they'll see that they've celebrated a bit too early!
