They had just come from His presence, the tone of the Dark Lord's voice still chilling Rabastan's blood. He had known what to expect when he had been summoned; hadn't he, Rabastan, been instrumental in setting up Theo Nott, Senior with the note and the polyjuice? Rabastan had schooled his face to an expression of seriousness, trying not to seem too delighted in doing the bidding of his Lord by going and killing the traitor. Demetrius had been chosen as his partner in the deed and Rabastan had immediately offered to apparate the two of them to the Nott Estate.
Arriving on the doorstep, Rab had glanced at Demetrius, trying to speculate how the other man might feel about the violence they were about to inflict upon a fellow Death Eater. He didn't know if Demetrius even knew the man; not that it mattered. They had been ordered to do this, and Rabastan was more than willing to accomplish it. But he was curious about the man. Did he like to use a knife or spells? Did he favor using his hands or various tools of the trade? All would be revealed in due time; the first step was to get to Nott and restrain him, disarm him. Rabastan was a huge fan of using a knife, but that was also with those a bit more helpless than Nott. He hadn't knocked yet on the door, but spoke in a low voice to Demetrius, "I'll have the House-elves fetch him. You can take care of binding him, if you don't mind?" after which he reached out and knocked.
The door opened to a familiar House-elf who did not seem surprised to finding two Death Eaters on the doorstep. Rabastan stood for moment and then walked in through the open door, casually pulling off his gloves and his cloak, "Go and fetch your master. We've come on business," he said in an easy tone, even as he glanced at Demetrius, "I think that perhaps we should have a drink?" he said as the House-elf was disappearing, his words adding to the illusion of a more casual visit.
Moments later, Theo Nott Senior appeared, the look on his face was sour and terse, "Lestrange," he said and his eyes shifted back to Demetrius before settling on Rabastan, "It seems late for a meeting," he began, noting that Rabastan had his gloves and cloak off. Nott gave an imperceptible sniff and then a curt nod as both Rabastan and Demetrius said nothing, "We can talk in the drawing room," he said, pausing only a moment before he turned ahead of the two men, leading them down the hall, giving them his back.
