Julien had taken a seat up out of the way (as much against the side as he could get) but to the front so that he could get the most out of the lesson. Divination wasn't really a subject that he enjoyed but it was one that naturally came easily to him given his touch of the 'gift'. He would rather he were normal and had to work at the lesson like everyone else though; his 'gift' wasn't focused enough to help him in the lessons and besides which Trelawney seemed to cast a morbid reading on every sign which made him wary of her teaching. He knew that so-called signs could be interpreted in various ways depending on the circumstances (he'd read the books after all) and he was put on edge at the readings always fraught with death and peril.
That and being in this class made his head feel two sizes too small. By the time the class let out he had a banging headache on the right side of his head, somewehre in the soft spot between his eye and his ear, enough that his neck and that shoulder were starting to ache as well.
He'd been surprised that Alfie had sat next to him but not displeased. He'd given the boy a smile and had found the class more enjoyable with his friend - he could Alfie a friend now, right? - by his side. He was the same as they left the classroom, if a little pinched about the eyes because of the headache.
"I have serious concerns about her personal bias on the things she's teaching us." he said, deep in thought.
