Who: Rodolphus and Antigone When: Early Monday morning, 29 August Where: Antigone's house and then a remote beach in Wales What: Brooding with company Rating: PG-13? R? Open/Closed: Closed
Rabastan, dressed for a chilled destination, apparated to the door of Antigone's charming little house, his expression scowling and dark. His best laid plans had been foiled, by his own hand and not outside influences, and now, the time was almost up. He had it all in mind as to what he would do: become the senior Nott and discredit the man by posing as him, and spreading news to the Order that they shouldn't really know. Then, with the man discredited, Rabastan had every intention of scooping up Theo, and stealing him away to the Lestrange flat, to coddle and fawn upon the abused younger man. It was to happen at least a week before school, giving Rabastan plenty of time to spend with Theo, convincing him of the virtues of being loyal to the Dark Lord that did not include the abuse Theo's suffered at his father's hands. And it did not work. It was rare to get a poorly made batch of polyjuice but in Rabastan's eagerness at the proposed plan, he'd managed to get some and suffered the ill effects.
He didn't want others to find out about it, but he wanted to see Antigone, and he knew she would wonder, directly, why he had been absent. And as in the past, when he was brooding and grumpy, the seaside was the first place he would flee to, the colder the weather the better. There was something familiar in that chill; if he analyzed his feelings, Rabastan knew he was seeking out a similar chill that he experienced from the Dementor's touches. He wasn't ready to explain it all to Antigone, but he wanted to share some of it with her. But not yet. Not until they stood on the beach, with a freezing wind trying to bite through warm clothes.
He knocked, and waited until the door opened, revealing her face and form to him. She looked good and something that had been held tight and locked unloosened as his eyes found her's, "Hello, Antigone," and after a brief pause he went on, "We are going somewhere cold," he added as he stepped inside.
