She felt good on him, her weight barely anything here on the floor. She was giggling and it made him laugh more, their two bodies bouncing off each other in the sheer delight of the silliness of the moment.
Her words sobered him for a moment, and a flash of guile crossed his face, "I haven't been trying to avoid you, Tonks. I was..I've been in the worst mood, since I got back," he said, trying to explain with his fogged brain and his booze. His arms went about her, and he looked at her, as if seeing her for the first time in a long while.
"I've missed you too," he said and he felt the gloom sort of lifting at her suggestion, "Fuck yes do it! I mean," and he paused as he tried to not let the moment rush over him, "Who am I to try to stop you? But are we going to snog right here on the floor? I think we might get stomped on, with my luck," he said, even as he grinned at her and then, without helping himself, leaned forward to kiss her lightly on the mouth.
He dropped his head back, still looking at her, and said, "Help me get up so I can do a better job at that?!"
