Charlie's head was swimming. It was probably a combination of pain potions and the need to drink with crew and welcome him of a sorts back to this new reality. He couldn't remember when he'd drunk so much with the three of them being present, and he felt like he was flying.
Touching her hand had not been a mistake. He refused to let himself see more into it than what it was; Tonks was his cousin and his friend and he had not seen her in forever. Even when he'd returned to the Burrow in June, he had been not fit company for anyone outside of his brother Bill and his mum. As he had gotten better, he had expanded his circle of acceptable company. Moving out had been the big step to really welcoming in all of his friends. First seeing Hestia and now seeing Tonks.
Charlie gave himself a smirking grin as he too got up, to hobble off to the loo, I always did like to save the best for last, he thought to himself as he pissed for what seemed an age, washed his hands and then left the dank room. He was trying to get his directional bearings right when someone walked into him, or really more like crashed into him. He managed to lean at a precarious angle, the weight of the woman on him, even as he recognized her smell and her smile.
He grinned, "You can walk into me any time, baby," and he paused, unable to stand up from where he was and not letting her go, "Shit its been too damn long since we did this together, drinking like back in school," he said even as he felt himself slip a bit.
And then the wall gave out and he was on the ground and she was on top of him, and Charlie burst into laughter, laughing so hard he almost couldn't breath.
