Lila's Sweet 16 - IC/OOC Event

Sweet 16

Pepper, Clint, and Yelena put their brains and wallets together to rent a nearby venue for Lila's Sweet 16. The theme is Old Hollywood Glamour. Guests are encouraged to dress according to the theme. Guests will enjoy mocktails, hors d'oeuvres, themed cake, a purple entry carpet, a live band, dancing, photo/photo-booth area, party favors (nice popcorn buckets filled with candy and popcorn), and a theater set up to show all of Lila's favorite films.

Pepper fully embraced the theme in her champagne dress. She would have been making sure every last detail was perfect for the party. She gave Lila this necklace.

May is there, also embracing the theme. She'll hang out with her family and friends and have a good time. She gave Lila a gift card to the local movie theatre and a day of pampering (hair cut, mani/pedi).

Vision is there in a snazzy suit, but in his synthezoid form. He spent time with family and friends. He gave Lila a set of new arrows and general gift card.

Tony is there in a sharp, black suit. He too hung out with family and friends. He gave Lila several tricked out arrows and a generous gift card to the mall.

Cassie (pretend she has dark hair here) is there supporting her friend. She gave Lila a this stuffed bear and several movies she knows Lila likes (player's choice).

YELENA came, of course, because she wouldn't miss out. She had a heavy hand in trying to make sure it was a great birthday. She went with this classic. Yelena got her a necklace with a delicate star pendant because 'Lila is a star'

LUKE I think was part of the band? Is that what we decided lmao LOOK. I LOST TRACK WHILE THINGS WERE HAPPENING. He probably re-used the suit he wore to the Strange-Palmer wedding. And hastily wrapped a giftcard stuffed into a CD case because lol but it was to some froo froo bakery that he thought had some wild flavors that she might like to try out.

MOLLY & RAPUNZEL showed up. I'm sure someone (Pepper??) helped Molly with her dress because she likely asked. Rapunzel didn't understand the assignment, didn't know to ask for help, and just showed up as her cute little self. But we love her anyway. ... no idea on gifts. I'm sure Rapunzel's was homemade because that's how she rolls.

NATASHA is obviously there for her favorite niece. She wore this, but with red hair, which she wore up. I am terrible at IC gifts, but she definitely got her something awesome.

DAISY came, partly to keep an eye on Molly or something and probably dragged Luke along with her. She wore something like this and also brought a gift, but see above, I am terrible at IC shopping.

KAMALA was there because I assume she and Lila have seen each other around at school and other stuff even though hen I slack on my activity. 🙃 She wore something like this and brought a gift, hi I suck at this.

I think my others probably were not there unless dragged by their people. 🥳

Clint totally rocked up in a purple suit (after spending hours before making sure everything was as close to perfect as possible) and flitted from each activity like he'd personally gotten into the sweet treats before then. His gift to Lila was a card, the interior of which was inscribed: This card is good for whatever the future may hold for you. Happiest of 16th birthday, Hawekette. Love, not!Dad

Ben found a nice, period appropriate suit with this help of his siblings (??). As excited as he is about school starting, he's way more enthusiastic about celebrating Lila's special day. He asked her to dance often and loved slipping away to cuddle up, watching movies. He got her an arrow bracelet

Steve came along with Tony mostly, wearing a vintage suit he found, but the instant he stepped inside, he got nostalgic and would talk to anyone who seems remotely interested about what seeing movies in the Thirties and Forties was like. Lila's gift was a gift certificate to a sporting good store, and a card offering strength training if she wanted it. (For archery things, of course!)

Alex was there with the band, and also because Lila seemed nice and cool. He didn't come with a date, but he probably hung around with Dylan when he wasn't with Julie and the other guys (or Stiles and Lydia, if they were there). He doesn't have much in the way of material means; however, he's more than happy to offer drum lessons if she's interested.

Matt was there, dolled up in a suit, mostly as a chaperon for the band and to hang out with his adult friends. If he ducks in to the movies, it's always with someone who's willing to describe what's going on. He got her a subscription to an audio book site, because he's nothing off not On Brand.

Hope, Loki, and Quentin did not attend, but wish Lila well.

Dylan came and mostly hung around Alex and the band. Made cute eyes at Dylan a lot. Lila is kinda Dylan's cousin, so he would have gotten her a gift card from a place that he knows she enjoys.

Mayday came in a pretty dress. She doesn't know Lila super well, but Pepper helped with the party, so May would have been there. She hung around with Morgan and Molly. She would have made Lila a purple and teal friendship bracelet.

Viktor came because pseudo family. He would have given Lila a card with cash in it.

Klaus came dressed to the nines, sparkles and purple and everything. He came early to help Clint and everyone get it all set up, and he stayed late to make sure everything was cleaned up. He's super proud of his not-step-daughter, and definitely had a lot of fun spinning around with Clint.

America was there, and spent time hanging out with her bestie. She got her a gift card to a a sporting place that specializes in Arrows... because she doesn't know anything about arrows to buy her anything.

Tony was there and he was dancing a lot with Pepper, Morgan and little May. Being a cool dad and making lots of dad jokes. He would have helped out with all sorts of things.

I mean, I GUESS Lila should probably go. She was the ultimate birthday girl, socializing with everyone, showing gratitude for those who came, spending time with her friends and Ben and her family.

My teens: Adaine, Peter, and Billy (technically a tween, whatever) definitely came and had fun and gave gifts.

The (remaining) Avenger Crew, aka Bruce and Stephen would have gone, one because it's Clint's kid and he's going to support her since Clint isn't there to, and one because she's friends with his kid.

Allison went because step-niece? Niece-in-law? Anyway, yes she went and definitely did NOT critique any of the Hollywood-isms. Nope, not at all.

I'm gonna let Donna and Alexis sit this one out mostly because I don't have the mental willpower to justify them being there.
