Miles & Enid Get Some Ice Cream

When Miles saw Peter's post, he thought ice cream at The Pier sounded like a great idea. Who didn't love ice cream on a warm day, right? He'd jumped at the excuse. Miles had only been to the place Peter had mentioned a few times before and there was a whole load of flavors he hadn't tried yet, not even counting some of the new summertime flavors.

He stood there for a bit, studying the menu as he tried to decide what to order and noticed Enid standing nearby. He could totally be smooth, right? He'd gone with her to prom and he thought she hadn't had a terrible time. Miles didn't know her super well, but he knew she was nice and she had really cool hair and maybe he could strike up a conversation about ice cream without making a complete fool of himself. He probably wouldn't end up getting his webbing caught in her hair, at least.

Steeling his courage, Miles approached her. "What kind are you going to get?" he asked her.

Enid was caught up deciding between flavor options when she heard a familiar voice speak to her right. Turning, she smiled brightly. "Hey Miles!" Wednesday hadn't seemed too keen on ice cream today, and Thing generally attracted the sort of attraction that made ice cream outings awkward, so he'd opted to stay behind as well. So it was nice to see another familiar face as she stood surveying the options in the tubs behind the glass.

"Uhhhhm. I haven't decided yet. Rainbow sprinkles definitely. But do I want the raspberry, or the chocolate? These are the kinds of decisions that can keep you awake at night," she joked. "How about you?"

"There are so many choices," Miles said, grinning over at her. "It's hard to decide." He looked over all the options, debating. "Something with chocolate, definitely," he decided. That didn't really narrow it down much.

"Maybe you could get both," he offered. "Like a scoop of each?" Was that dumb? It was probably dumb, but it also seemed like a logical choice if you were picking between two options instead of, like, six.

"I could," she agreed, eyes sparkling. "What a great idea." She took a step closer to the counter, ordering a scoop of chocolate and one of raspberry, with extra rainbow sprinkles. As they were preparing it, she turned back to Miles as he continued considering the options.

"You know, if you really can't make up your mind, I could pick for you. Then we can just keep coming back until you've tried them all!"
