Wanda & Matt
The plate continued to get heavier, but Matt didn't mind. Her care kind of reminded him of Karen and Foggy's mom, the latter always making sure he had food or went home with leftovers whenever he stopped by the butcher shop. Warmth lingered from her light touch and stole into his smile. "I'll have to rely on your baking prowess. I remember trying to use the oven a handful of times before the accident, but I was never really brave enough to try afterward. But if my ignorance means I have to leave myself in your capable hands, well, I'm not really sad about it."
He chuckled and inclined his head. "Totally a fan of strawberries. Have you ever tried them in champagne? It's a combination that doesn't sound like it would ever work, but it weirdly does." His mouth lifted at one corner into a smirk. "Something tells me this isn't that kind of brunch, however."
