Ned was still feeling a little out of place without his family, but May and Peter and the Starks had made it a lot better. There was a part of him that felt a little bad about leaving Felicity alone for the holiday, but it wasn't really a holiday to her and she had told him that she didn't mind. Plus, he had at least gotten to speak to his Lola that morning, which only had him thinking more about the oddness of the whole place.
Still, Ned had been having a good time handing out with the Peter and Dee at the Starks, playing with some of Morgan's new toys with them as they were all settling down from dinner. Ned had been in awe at dinner--- he was sitting with two of the smartest Avengers and their family. It was the wildest thing that he'd ever imagined, and he was a little star struck. He alternated between just staring and talking way too much.
He had moved to the kitchen to grab a drink, and smiled at Pepper. "Oh! yes! Thank you! It's been a lot of fun. I really appreciate it. I'm sorry I didn't uh... get you guys anything. I didn't um... realize that I would be here. But I'll get you guys something. Promise." He had gift cards after all.
